Q: We are seeing people choose ‘recovery hour’ over ‘happy hour’ at the bars. What are you seeing in the health-focused socializing space?
"I am LOVING the shift in people getting together over wellness rather than to have a drink at a bar! This is something that has been slowly happening over the last handful of years and I truly think it is impacting their lives and community more than imagined. The need and want to meet like-minded health-conscious peers has been the highlight of having this business."
Q: Why Encinitas?
"Encinitas was my first stop ever in California and it has been love ever since. Encinitas has something in the air that exudes wellness and the best community of people!"
Q: Can you tell us about the penguin/fire logo significance?
"Oh, our beloved penguin. The penguin symbolizes resilience, community, and loyalty, representing the ability to thrive in harsh conditions through teamwork and adaptation. Recovery can be hard... it isn't this glamorous or comfortable thing to do. But, you grab a buddy and get through it together all while catching up and having intentional time together."
Q: What do you hope people feel after a visit to Club House?
"More than anything, I want people to feel supported, like they are at home, surrounded by good vibes and positivity during those 50 minutes of self-care!"
